Product Backstory
Ages ago, Odin, lord of the gods of Asgard, desired a child of both Asgard and Midgard (Earth), and wooing the Earth goddess Gaea, fathered Thor. Growing up in Asgard, the young Thor excelled in power and popularity, and on his eighth birthday, Odin had the hammer Mjolnir created, enchanting it with powerful magic. He decreed that Mjolnir would be presented to Thor when he had been proven a worthy warrior, and Thor spent the next several years training and performing heroic deeds. Indeed, eight years later, Odin gave the hammer to Thor, declaring him to be the greatest warrior in Asgard, an honor that only served to inflate Thor's hubris.
Thor's arrogance and disregard for the law even became a threat to the Asgardian people's safety when he breached the boundaries of its lands. To teach his son humility, Odin sealed Thor's memory and sent him to Earth as Donald Blake, a partially disabled medical student. Without his godly memories, Thor developed a humble kindness as Blake, becoming a doctor and treating the ill.
After several years, Blake travels to Norway where he sees the scouts and spaceship of an impending Kronan invasion. He takes cover in a cave and happens upon Thor's disguised hammer Mjolnir. Striking Mjolnir against a rock, Blake transforms into Thor, the Thunder God and defeats the aliens. Product Backstory
The daughter of a world-renowned cat burglar, Felicia Hardy followed in her father's footsteps by embarking on a life of crime, originally taking on the guise of "Black Cat" in order to break her father out of prison before he died. It was on that very same night that she first encountered Spider-Man, an encounter that would impact both her romantic life and her criminal career. She felt an immediate attraction to Spidey, later learning that the attraction was mostly for the mysterious adventurer than to the man behind the mask. In fact, she begged him to put the mask back on, not wanting the mystique to be ruined by the thought of him being just some average Joe. While their relationship didn't work out, it helped in her turn from criminal to hero, leaping to the other side of the fence to become a costumed super heroine. Product Backstory
Born to the disguised shape-shifting mutant Mystique, Kurt Wagner was abandoned at birth when his blue skin, pointed ears and tail revealed Mystique's true identity. Taken in and raised as a member of the circus, young Kurt honed his strength and acrobatic skills, passing off his demonic appearance as a costume. Years later, Kurt was discovered by Professor Charles Xavier and recruited to join the X-Men as Nightcrawler.
Through his battles with the X-Men, Nightcrawler continued to discover new abilities, form new relationships, and fight against the likes of Dr. Doom, the Mirauders, the Morlocks, and the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants - his unknown mother Mystique's team. Nightcrawler was later drawn to the Isla des Demonas where he was manipulated by Azazel - his natural father, to partake in a ceremony with other teleporters like himself. The ceremony was intended to open a dimensional portal, and through it, Azazel hoped to flood the word with evil demons and enslave humanity. Banding with other teleporters, whom Nightcrawler discovered to be his half-brothers, he was able to defeat Azazel, and he continued to fight evil.
